Working with video

Create new video or add existing video to project. The program supports the following video formats:

• Apple QuickTime® movie (.mov)
• Advanced Systems Format (.asf)
• Audio Video Interleave (.avi)
• Moving Picture Experts Group (.mpg, .mpeg, MPEG-4, mpg4, .M4V, .MP4, .MPA)
• Windows Media Video (.wmv)
• YouTube®, and Microsoft streaming video formats

When available, HTML5 will be used for MP4 video. YouTube Security Warning: YouTube streaming video when published to HTML and run locally from your hard drive might display a security warning. The warning might be a security warning related specifically to running the video locally from a machine (as opposed to running it from the Web). When project is published to a Web server, this error will not occur and users of your published project will not see the security warning.

An attached Web camera or video camera is required to create a new video object.
