You can find and replace text throughout the project, including project contents, notes, object names and object descriptions. Find also searches within the Project Explorer. Additionally, you can narrow your search by specifying in which areas of the project to search.

To restrict searching for text only within a text block, use Find and Replace from the floating text-attributes toolbar. For details about launching the floating text-attributes toolbar, see Accessing the floating text-attributes toolbar. |
To search for occurrences of a specific word or phrase:
On the Home ribbon, click Find in the Edit group or type Ctrl+F.

In the Find what field, specify the text for which you are searching.
Select Match Case if you want the capitalization to match. (If you launched Find and Replace from the floating text-attribute toolbar, select Match cyclic to have the search automatically restart the search if the end of the text block is reached.)
Disable the check boxes in the Search box to narrow the search to a specific area of the project.
Click Find.
To find the next instance, click Find Next (or Find if you are using the floating text-attributes toolbar) or click Close to cancel a search in progress. If the Find window is not open, you can click Find Next in the Edit group on the Home ribbon to find the next instance.
To replace text based on a search for a specific word or phrase:
On the Home ribbon, click Find in the Edit group or type Ctrl+F.

Replace in the Edit group on the Home ribbon. The Find and Replace window opens to the Replace tab.
Select Match Case if you want the capitalization to match. (If you launched Find and Replace from the floating text-attribute toolbar, select Match cyclic to have the search automatically restart the search if the end of the text block is reached.)
In the Find what field, enter the text for which you are searching. In the Replace with field, enter the replacement text.
Disable the check boxes in the Search box to to narrow the search to a specific area of the project.
Click Find to find individual occurrences and replace them individually. Click Replace to replace the occurrence that currently has focus. Click Replace All to replace all occurrences of the found text, or click Close to exit the Find window.
