Optimizing large images

To save space, you can select to reduce the file size of large images that you have added to project. Enabling this option reduces the file size of your working project during development. The image is converted and saved to the largest size used within the project.

You can select to optimize image sizes when you publish a project. For details, see Specifying HTML options.

To optimize an image:

On the Tools ribbon, click the Resources graphic in the Manage group. The Resource Manager window opens.
Locate the image resource. For details, see Searching for a resource.
Select the resource within the list.
Click Optimize size. The Optimize size dialog box opens, displaying the optimization statistics.
In the Optimize size dialog box, click Yes to confirm and continue with the optimizing process.
Click Close to close the Resource Manager.

The image you selected is optimized.
