Setting the resulting action when a survey is completed

You can specify the action to take when the survey is completed. For example, you can open a specific page other than the default page, open a different project, or launch a Web page.

When you add the survey, two pages are automatically added to the project: a Completed page and a Canceled page. By default, the survey will route to the Completed page when the survey is completed (and to the Canceled page when the survey is canceled). In the Project Explorer, the Completed page is named "<survey name> Completed" (and the Canceled page is named <Survey name> Canceled"). You can delete these pages from the project and change the Go To targets on the Behavior & Results ribbon for the survey's properties. For details about configuring the resulting action when the survey is canceled, see Setting the resulting action when a survey is canceled.

To set the resulting action when a user completes a survey:

  1. Double-click the graphic of the survey you in the Project Explorer. Alternatively, you can right-click the survey in the Project Explorer and select Properties.

  2. On the Behavior & Results ribbon, select the appropriate target for the Go To action from the Target drop-down list in the On Completed group. Specify the appropriate target options based on the target you selected.
