Changing the background color of the text in a text block

You can change the background color of the text in a text block. Each text character in the text block can contain a separate color.

To change the text-background color:

  1. Double-click within the text block and select the text you want to change.

  2. Using the floating text-attribute toolbar, click the text-background color graphic.

    Select a predefined color, select the eyedropper tool to select an existing color on the current page in project, or select Custom to select a custom color from the Color palette. The custom color you select is saved to the Recent Colors list.

The text-background color is changed.
