You can create an empty ALT tag for an object. An empty ALT tag will ensure that no tip text is displayed when the user rests their mouse over the object. Also, assistive technologies will not recognize or will skip over any objects containing an empty ALT tag.
If do you not specify to use an empty ALT tag for buttons with text or shapes or arrows with text, the text on the object is used for the text in the ALT tag. |
To use an empty ALT tag for an object:
Do one of the following to display the Properties ribbon:
In the Title Explorer, double-click the graphic of the object.
In the Title Explorer, right-click the graphic and select Properties.
In the work area, double-click the object.
In the work area, right-click the object and select Properties.
In the Web Options group, enable the Empty ALT Tag check box.
